0-8-0 Class Q6 'Raven' NER Profile and Models

The North Eastern Railway Class T2, later known as the "Class Q6" under the LNER, were a fleet of 0-8-0 steam locomotives designed by Vincent Raven for use on heavy freight services. They were particularly used for hauling long coal trains from the collieries in the North Eastern region of the UK at a maximum speed of 40mph. The class were reliable performers and lasted until the end of steam with BR. One example made its way into preservation |
