The fleet of 35t Bulk Grain Hopper Wagons (also known as “Whisky Covhops”) were produced in the late 1960s. Four batches were produced with some modifications between each one. Their increased capacity over existing wagons provided a substantial advantage and they were mostly seen on long distance workings transporting grain from the South East England to the whisky distilleries across Scotland. |
