Royal Navy Armaments Depots in the UK utilised narrow gauge railways to move ammunition and other supplies around their sites. A wide range of small 4-wheel wagons were produced to fill various requirements, including open wagons, box vans and brake vans. These wagons were so successful that they were still in use as of the early 2000s. With them only being withdrawn relatively recently, many of these have made their way into preservation on heritage narrow gauge lines in England and Wales. |
