The Caledonian Railway 812 Class was a series of 79 0-6-0 steam tender locomotives designed by John F. McIntosh for the Caledonian Railway and introduced in 1899. Mainly used for freight traffic, 17 were fitted with the Westinghouse air brakes for passenger train working, including the only surviving engine of the class, No. 828. The design was developed into the later Class 652, as well as over 800 almost identical locomotives being built for the Belgian State Railways between 1899 and 1904.
