The X2 class is one of a number of 0-6-0 saddle tank steam locomotive designs produced by Peckett & Sons, to be used a shunter on industrial railway lines. Many of the class saw use at colleries and dockyards across the UK and some were even exported to China. One example has been preserved - No. 3 Ackton Hall, which is present at the Foxfield Railway. |
